Gundars (Gundy) Kaupins is Professor of Management at Boise State University. He received his Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the University of Iowa. With his human resource management students he helped write about 600 employee handbooks for nonprofits, for profits, and for public sector organizations. He has served as a president, vice president, store manager, racewalk judge, webmaster, and marketing/strategic planning committee member for various nonprofits such as the Treasure Valley Fitness Walkers and Ewalu. When he was department chair of the Boise State Management Department he and his colleagues developed the Nonprofit Management minor. Gundy joined the AquAbility Board in 2017. He is also a current board member of The Idaho Nonprofit Center.
